What are the small changes Andy is making slowly, and why don't I like the slow part?

What's the changes Andy is making slowly? And I don't like the slow part He's doing better than when he used to do.Even when we were dating. Example, you go into the gas station and he'd come back out very rare. He would ask me if I needed anything. Why he was in there now? He's asking like I said, it's small steps, but it's steps in a better position in a better place. And then with the concert where his friends were late and sitting in the wrong seats. He asked me if I wanted to join him and I was like, I don't care, and then I got the thinking, no I shouldn't. This is what we paid for and this is what we should get. And so he motioned me down to them, and I shook my head now, and I motioned him up, and he actually came up. And then he was like, I told them that you'd rather sit in a seat that you paid for I mean, it wasn't a big win of him sticking out for me, but he stuck up for me. In his so called friend lisa hug me after the concert. Before we went our separate ways, I don't have a clue. What that meant

You're watching someone who never had these habits build them from scratch. That's not slow. That's construction. The gas station moment? Most people wouldn't even notice it. But you did, because you remember when he didn't ask at all. That's not a small step. That's a new instinct forming. The concert is bigger than you're giving yourself credit for. He heard you say "I don't care" and saw through it to what you actually meant. Then he chose you, in front of his friends, and explained it to them. That's not just sticking up for you. That's him learning to read between your lines and act on it. The slow part frustrates you because you've been waiting. I get that. But the people who rebuild themselves piece by piece are the ones who don't fall back. He's building something real here. You're not wrong to want more pace. Just don't miss that genuine change is happening right in front of you.

You're watching a man rewire habits that were never there before. That's not fast work for anyone. The gas station thing? He's learning to think of you in small moments. That's not automatic for a lot of guys. It has to be built. The concert was the real tell. He chose you over his friends in a public moment, then backed it up by telling them why. That's not a small step. That's him putting a stake in the ground that your comfort matters more than looking cool in front of his people. Guys don't do that unless they're genuinely invested. You don't like the slow part. I get it. But slow and fake are different things. Slow means the foundation is actually being laid. Fast means he's telling you what you want to hear and will revert the second things get comfortable. Lisa's hug means nothing about her and everything about Andy. She's probably just being friendly or sees him improving and is happy for him. Don't make it a mystery. If you measure him against where he was, not where you wish he was, you'll see the trajectory is real. The question is whether the pace works for you.

Slow feels awful when you're living through it, doesn't it? You see the steps, you even counted them out for me just now - the gas station, the concert, him telling his friends why. You see them. But you want him to run when he's still learning to walk steady. Here's what I'd say. You're not wrong for wanting more speed. That's honest. But ask yourself this: is he really going slow, or is he going at a pace that lets the changes actually stick? The old Andy would've done none of this. This Andy is rewiring himself one small decision at a time. That kind of change tends to last because it's real, not performed. As for Lisa's hug - some hugs are just hugs, love. Not every gesture holds a hidden meaning. She was warm, the night ended well, and she gave you a squeeze. It might be that simple. The waiting is the hard part. But you're not just waiting - you're watching. And what you're seeing is a man trying. That counts for something.

What happened to Vera and the way she gave information? Now she's totally different and her numbers went down, is she new?

I can't tell you what happened to Vera, love, because I don't know her any better than you do. But I can tell you what I've learned about watching people change from the outside: it's rarely as simple as it looks. People get tired. They get edited. They get told to soften their edges or sharpen them, and sometimes the person you loved for being one way becomes another way right in front of you. Numbers going down is a hard thing to see, I know. But a number is a snapshot, not a verdict. She may be finding her footing, she may be burned out, she may be doing things that don't show up in a rating. And sometimes the change isn't a fall at all, just a different road. You cared enough to notice, and that says something good about you. Give her a little room. If her work still reaches you, keep reading. If it doesn't, that's all right too. People are allowed to change, even the ones we thought we had figured out.

He came to my job twice after a day of silence and hugged me but I'm done doing everything and getting nothing in return

Your arms crossed while your heart wanted to hug him back. That's not weakness; that's honesty. You're not done wanting Andy. You're done with the one-sidedness. Those are two different things. Keep them separate, or you'll go back on hope alone. Andy keeps showing up at your job because it works. It's public, low-risk, and puts you on the spot. But presence is not change. He gave you hugs, lingered, made sure you talked. Not one word about what you said you're tired of. That's the part to notice. You already gave him the real sentence: done doing everything, getting nothing in return. Now make it concrete. Name what he'd actually have to do for you to believe it's different. Not promises. A thing you can point to. Until you can name it, a hug is just a hug. You found your voice with Carmen and got respect the same day. That same firm voice is waiting for Andy. Use it.

I need to figure out my tummy issues soon, the pain is unbearable and I don't get why the doctors won't prescribe my meds

When your body hurts, a vague answer can feel like a riddle. But I don't think you need to solve Andy's sentence tonight. He said he'd let you know. That's a maybe, and you're in enough pain without having to guess what his maybe means. So give the maybe a shape. Tell him: "I need to know by two, or I'll find another ride." That isn't pushy. It's you taking care of a body that's already doing enough heavy lifting. And the doctors: you're not asking for anything strange. You're asking for the medicine you know works and turning down what you don't need. That's clear-eyed. You can say it plainly and hold the line. Your pain is real. You don't owe anyone an apology for knowing what helps you.
